Barnack as a Church School

We are very proud of our status as a Church of England Voluntarily Controlled Primary School. We pride ourselves on our links with the church, our history and tradition and our distinctively Christian Values. These support our commitment to the Christian Faith and the high standards of the school.

As a truly Christian School we are fully inclusive, and committed to offering the best education possible to all - regardless of belief or background.

We were very pleased to welcome Bishop Jon Flack on Friday 16th September 2016.  He visited our Reception class, joined us for worship - speaking to the children about his role as a Bishop and then dedicating the new school wall hanging, to which all the children have contributed.

Our open the book team helping our children explore communion during a special theme day

The school has a comprehensive programme of collective worship and school services both in school and at our village church. We welcome church volunteers into school every week to hold 'Open the Book' assemblies with our younger children; are visited regularly by our incumbent Rev Dave Mayler and hold regular special theme days celebrating and exploring many aspects of the Christian faith.

Parents and members of the wider community regularly attend and are involved in worship and  events linked to the church calendar.
