When I was in secondary school, I loved coaching others and often volunteered in local primary schools to help with netball and football. I found it so rewarding to share my skills, encourage younger pupils, and see how even small moments of support could inspire them. That experience made me realise how much I enjoyed helping others to grow and achieve their best. When I went on to do work experience in a local school, it became clear to me that the classroom was where I wanted to be, not just focusing on sport, but teaching a variety of subjects and making a positive difference in children’s lives everyday.
