Cromwell Museum Visit

On Monday 21st February, we were lucky enough to go to the Cromwell museum in Huntingdon. This was thanks to Harry entering a competition he saw in the Term Times Magazine.

We had a fantastic morning and the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We spent half of the morning in the museum looking at artefacts from Oliver Cromwell's life and even got to see the huge scale model of the Naseby ship (a special exhibition about the 17th century English Navy). At the Town Hall, we got to meet some civil war soldiers, where we learnt why the war started and the different weapons the soldiers had. We then got to explore how muskets worked and finally got to dress up as civil war soldiers.
