Marvellous Mountains

Writer's picture: Lucy KentLucy Kent
I can't believe summer term is here already! We have had a great start to the term and have started our new topic on 'mountains' for geography.

We have looked at famous mountains in the UK such as Ben Nevis. We have also studied how mountains are formed by using playdough to demonstrate how mountains move due to tectonic plates.

In science, we have started our topic on 'electricity' and this week the children got to make some simple circuits which they absolutely loved. Some children did not want to stop tinkering with their circuits - they told me they could do this all day!

In English, we have been writing newspaper reports about a Ben Nevis race and in maths we have been learning about money and how to calculate change.
