Year 3 have had a super start to the Autumn Term!

They have settled back into school and their new classroom, demonstrating that they are dedicated, resilient learners who want ot achieve and be the best they can be!

We have really enjoyed the start of our Stone Age work and have become fully immersed in what life was .like in Neolitihic times! Using the text, "Stone Age Boy," we are going back in time and imagining what it would be like to be child, all those years ago.

We enjoyed our RE day where the children began to speak more confidently about the idea of covenant and how we can connect this to stories from the Bible and our own lives.

We are extremely lucky this term to have started both swimming and violin lessons which the children are throughly engaged with. It will be exciting to see how much progress we can make in both!

Last Monday we enjoyed a full morning of forest school, in the glorious sunshine, which was delightful and a lovely start to the week. The children enjoyed learning how to whittle aswell as enjoying the mud kitchen, building dens and constructing rope swings.

The children have set themselves a word count target for this half term of 750,000 words. We are racing towards this and I am sure we can achieve this and beyond! On completion of reading a book please do encorage your child to complete quizzes at home as well as school. If you need any help with logging on at home, please ask.
