Year 6 Residential
As our first day draws to a close, I just wanted to share how incredibly proud I am of our children. They have represented our school fantastically well; they have been polite, shown great perseverance already and, most importantly, supported and encouraged each other throughout the day.
We started our adventure with a picnic lunch before heading off for a tour of the massive grounds. After that, it was time for our first activities, with all of the children getting stuck into ‘Survivor’. They worked together to build some Bear Grylls-style shelters before having a go at lighting their own individual fires.
Next up was the sensory trail through the forest! Each child was blindfolded and had to feel their way along a winding trail, navigating tunnels and other obstacles along the way.
After a lovely dinner, we ventured to the shop, where the children spent their money on souvenirs and, of course, even more snacks…
We’re now getting ready to finish our first day by dancing the night away at the silent disco!
A fantastic first day, and we’re looking forward to another action-packed day tomorrow!
