Year 3

Year 3 enjoyed a delightful day out last Friday. We visited the original cottage where the local poet John Clare once lived. We learnt all about his life and what inspired his poetry, whilst gaining inspiration, in his extensive garden, for writing our own.

The children produced some fantastic descriptions of what they could see in his garden and we are very much looking forward to writing some poetry in the next few weeks.

The children were a credit to Barnack as always and conducted themselves in a very responsible and respectful way. I am also incredibly proud of all the children this week as they have shown a real determination and resilience whilst completing their end of year assessments. They are demonstrating that they are keen to improve and move forward with their learning which will stand them in good stead for the challenges of year 4. Well done Year 3!
