Barnack Primary School is part of a federation with St John's Church School, Winyates Primary & Paston Ridings Primary school - this federation has grown from strength to strength. The impact can be seen in the outstanding KS2 academic results putting us in the top 1% of schools nationally and our excellence in personal development where children have so many exciting and developmental opportunities to grow as people.

Together we are called Spirit, this name inspires us to have fortitude and tenacity.

Year 6 Residential

As our first day draws to a close, I just wanted to share how incredibly proud I am of our children. They have represented our school fantastically well; they have been polite, shown great perseverance already and, most importantly, supported and encouraged each other throughout the day. Write Away!

Felicidades a Dylan, Issy y Matilda for their super Spanish writing which was selected to be included in this term's edition of Write Away! - an online magazine which celebrates and highlights excellence in primary languages writing. Issy was also chosen as the editor's pick which is amazing! Thank you to all the children in Years 4 and 5 who submitted work to be considered; myself and the editor enjoyed reading them all. Published Authors!

Congratulations to all KS2 children who entered their calligrams into the Association for Languages (ALL) competition. I was so impressed with the variety and clear effort and care put into every single one. A special mention to Lilly whose work was chosen to be published in the e-book collection of work from schools across the country. Celebrating a fantastic term of Spanish learning

What an amazing end to term we had in Spanish! KS2 children took part in a Spanish egg hunt at break time - it was lovely to see how invested they were in solving the gap fill! Year 5 Residential - Day 2

Day two of our Year 5 residential was packed full of excitement from start to finish! The children began the day with a big breakfast, setting them up perfectly for a busy schedule of activities ahead. Throughout the day, children showed fantastic enthusiasm and resilience as they took part in archery, axe throwing, grass sledging, air rifle shooting and fencing. Year 5 Residential - Day 1

We’ve had a fun filled first day on the Year 5 residential! After arriving, we went into our groups and did a blind trail which required us to trust our partners. Then, we had a delicious dinner and unpacked our bedding before going out for a nighttime zip line! Lights went out at 9pm and the children were fantastically behaved and ready to sleep!

Sport Update Autumn 1 2025

Tuesday 30th September – Y5/6 Hockey Tournament at City of Peterborough Hockey Club On Tuesday, our Year 5 and 6 pupils took part in an exciting hockey tournament at the City of Peterborough Hockey Club. We faced off against several local schools including Hampton, Winyates, St John's, Eye, Discovery, and St Botolph’s. Our team showed fantastic teamwork, skill, and determination winning every single match! What an incredible achievement. Well done to all the players involved!
